8am Chat with Claire Ferris Miles from Voices For Casey / 6am Freo co-hosting

Greetings from a house of humming servers with flashing lights, We hope you’re doin’ ok out there. A fun show this morning with presenter in training Freo joining us for the first couple of hours. We chatted, spun a few tunes and I showed Freo what buttons not to press when broadcasting a radio program. We’re looking forward to wrapping our ears around Freo’s Mad Mile Music Club when it hits the airwaves soon. If you’re looking for a gig to go to this weekend, head to the Belgrave Hotel on Saturday night where the Mast Gully Fellers are supporting Holy Moses Heartache. At 8am we had a lengthy conversation with Claire Ferris Miles about the importance of community participation and proper representation in government of all levels. As a member of Voices For Casey, Claire is actively promoting and participating in a grassroots movement of increasing independence in government with the aim of elected representatives doing just that, representing their communities. The current two party system, intrinsically linked to a corrupted model of capitalism, has lost its way with little inclination take a whole of government approach. Want to find out more?
