Hyacinth Macaw
The Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) is the largest parrot in the world by length. It is approximately one metre from the top of its head to the tip of its tail! It is also the second heaviest parrot in the world, weighing in at 1.7kg. However, the heavy weight parrot champion is the flightless Kakapo (found in New Zealand) which weighs a hefty 3.5kg!!
