BRING DOWN THE BIRDS – 07:00 PM May 20, 2024

Listen to episode

Blue-faced Honeyeater

The Blue-faced Honeyeater is the featured bird this episode. This is a large honeyeater (although not the largest in Australia, the Yellow Wattlebird, found only in Tasmania), and the patch of blue skin around the eye makes it an easy species to identify. Found across northern and eastern Australia, it is often one of the first birds to start calling in the morning, prior to sunrise.
