For our final show of the year, we will jump in a classic Cadillac and venture across the deserts and prairies, over the mountains, through the forests and up and down the coastlines of the many states that make the ever fascinating United States of America. During this American road trip we will take in a collection of folk music from across the decades. From the mountain tunes of the Appalachians, the folk revival of New England & New York City, the private press folk emerging from the canyons of California, as well as some contemporary offerings from the southern states. A lovely journey through American song and landscape awaits. We will be back on the 25th Jan to get 2024 rolling. In the meantime, new 3MDR presenter Jo will be filling in over the summer break with an eclectic selection of tunes. Enjoy and have a good Christmas and New Year. See ya next year. Daniel. 🙂 Image: Wayfaring Strangers: Lonesome Heroes – Compilation Cover – Released By Numero Group (2009).
