Your community radio station, 3MDR 97.1fm, is currently holding its annual membership/subscriber and donation drive, aka the 2023 Radiothon, between September 18th and October 15th and the theme is “Shockingly Good Radio”. We are excited to be celebrating our community with you! And we need your help. 3MDR is a not-for-profit community radio station that runs on the hard work, passion and dedication of our staff, over 100 volunteers, and the generosity of the subscribers, donors and sponsors who fund the station…That’s you! This is our monster fundraiser for the year and all the subscriptions from individuals, artists, businesses and community groups will charge us up for the next 12 months. For our first Radiothon special edition, we will traverse the Eastern Australian landscape from it’s vibrant city streets to it’s lush forested mountains slopes, wander the old, worn paths that criss-cross the rolling green hills of Ye Olde Ireland and Scotland, and then venture across the vast Pacific Ocean to the mountainous geography and peaceful atmosphere of the islands of Japan. During this journey we will soak in an array of immersive, atmospheric, dreamy, environmental and ethereal musical creations, lulling us into a calming and settled state.
