Hellooooooo there cyberspacers….. Welcome to another hotchypotchy episode of The Imaginary Friends Show on community radio 3MDR 97.1fm What with all the doom and gloom in the news these days we thought we’d kick off proceedings with a smile on the dial for the first bracket or two. Yes! Barry Manilow did get a run this morning! At 7am, Simon Rigoni from 2 Inch Tape joined us in the studio to chat about Lydia, one of the most excellent tunes from the recently released What I Need. The album is a cracker and has some mighty fine musicians adding layer upon layer to the thoughtful lyrics. 2 Inch Tape are playing The Retreat in Brunswick on Saturday December 2nd at 3pm. If you can’t get to the the December gig pop Saturday 10th February 2024 into yer diary for a matinee at the Brunswick Ballroom. This will be the full band experience. Book early and get a copy of What I Need on CD. Just after 8am Ol’ Shepdawg Hisself joined us on the blower for a truncated Huff n Puff, the segment filled with segments. We managed to get Name That Riff and Something From Short Stop into the program before we had to wind things up. Ol’ Shep has a new tune coming out in the new year and we’re hoping we’ll be able to catch up to get a full Huff n Puff in the bag before too long. We hope you enjoy the program. Oh!
