Galician bagpipes like you’ve never heard. – The Tallest Man On Earth – Little River from 2010’s ‘Sometimes the Blues is Just a Passing Bird’ EP – Leyla McCalla ‘Give Yourself a Break’ – Leyla McCalla ‘I Want to Believe’. This album still just keeps getting better and better!!! ‘Sun Without The Heat’ (2024) – Dan Bikoff – Rindler’s Metamorphosis from the reissue of 1968’s ‘Celestial Explosion’. More fingerpicking I picked up from Ramble Records stall on Sunday – Guttersnipes – It’s Over (1990) – The 45 single from legendary Melbourne band – Spacemen 3 – Walkin’ with Jesus from ’The Perfect Prescription’ (1987, second studio album) – Leo Kottke – The Song of the Swamp from the reissue of 1972’s ‘Greenhouse’ – Television – Marquee Moon from the debut album of the same name (1977) – Shim-me-sha-wobble – Bruce Gray’s Vintage Jazz Band from ‘Australian Jazz Archives Series’ (1973 recordings). Also picked up from the Australian Jazz Museum’s stall on Sunday – The Shaggs – Shagg’s Own Thing (Vocal Version) – Elton Britt – Lost Highway (1960). The Leon Payne classic. – Kim Hiorthøy – Album from 2007’s ‘My Last Day’. Some electronic sounds from Norway. – Jolie Holland – Old Fashioned Morphine from her 2nd solo album ‘Escondida’ (2004).
